Multipurpose sports hall AC Sparta Praha

2008  ·  Sports facilities

Price (excl. VAT) CZK 171,000,000

The building is located in a peaceful part of Praha 6 on the border of Liben and Vysocany not far from the Rokytka brook. The building is based on piles and constructed with regard to the local conditions, especially a high groundwater level. The building consists of three parts: 1. management offices with an entrance hall (complete monolithic load-bearing construction). 2. Facilities (also monolithic), with changing rooms, gym for Judo and table tennis and technical facilities, 3rd independent sports hall, adjacent to the facility structures in the north and in the south. The interesting thing about this hall is its roof construction, which consists of welded steel beams, which are also used as an air-conditioning distribution system. These beams are dilated in the rafters and therefore each of them is separately fixed into the north and south part of the facility buildings through steel rods. Another interesting thing is the ceiling construction of the Judo and table tennis gym, which is made of monolithic vierendeel trusses thanks to its span.
