Construction of a new 3-storey commercial centre in the Prague district of Bohnice (gross usable area of about 30,000 m2) (ca 14,000 m2 of commercial premises with a wide spectrum of shops) in the place of the former Krakov commercial centre right next to the culture house. The centre will bring the local inhabitants a new standard of shopping which customers are used to in the other parts of Prague without the necessity to drive a long distance.
The ground floor houses a supermarket as well as a range of other shops and services, such as chemist’s, banks, newsagent’s, pharmacy, dry cleaning service, cafés, etc. The elevated ground floor of the building is namely lain out as a floor housing shops offering clothes, shoes, fashion accessories, sports equipment, toys, household utensils and electronics and a play room. There is a food court with fast-food shops and a restaurant, a children’s playground and other units focusing namely on children, amusement and free time and sports situated on 1st floor. The load-bearing structure consists of a reinforced concrete skeleton clad with sandwich panels and a foil roof. The project also included stabilization of the foundation pit, pile foundations, construction of water mains, a sewer system, gas mains, heating and cooling, AC, measurement and regulation, HV and LV wiring – electric fire signalling, electric wiring, an automatic ventilation device, stationary extinguishing devices (sprinklers), a transformer station (including connection to the switch room), a sewer system, water mains, heating, gas mains and LV electricity connections, relocations of water mains and sewer pipes, light liquid separators, hard surface drainage, building of new roads and 300 parking places (240 in an underground garage in the building, 60 in an outdoor car park), public lighting, repair and connection of a footbridge, a fence around the supply yard and landscaping. The work included the complete construction of 15 turnkey business units.
