Ice stadium in Na Lukach Sports Complex

This was an ice stadium with a single ice-rink with the dimensions of 58×28 m intended solely for ice-hockey and public skating. The building entrances are differentiated according to their purpose. The entrance for spectators and honourable guests is located on 2ndfloor and it is accessible via an external staircase, taking logical emptying of the spectator stand (safe movement of spectators while escaping upstairs from the building) into consideration. Access for persons with reduced mobility is ensured by means of a lift. The access for players, skating public and employees is located on the terrain level on 1st floor. There are 2 parking lots for sports teams’ buses directly adjoining this entrance. The main functional elements (players’ dressing rooms, spectator stands, a snack-bar for spectators, offices and a fitness gym) are located in the tract which is oriented towards the entrance to the premises. The building is based on bearing piles; the bearing structure is made of reinforced concrete and steel structure which is then clad with thermal insulation panels. The main façade oriented towards the car park is architectonically and materially richer thanks to the whole tract containing premises with various functions. The 2nd floor has been designed with wooden horizontal lining and horizontal window bands.
