SYNER enters 35th construction season with increasing emphasis on responsible construction, new technologies and sustainability
The construction company SYNER, s.r.o., has today started its 35th construction season on the Czech market. With branches in Prague, Brno and Liberec, 400 permanent employees and almost 850 completed projects, it remains a firm part of the TOP 10 domestic construction companies. In addition, SYNER continues to develop its role as an innovator – since last year it has been the only licensed CREE partner for hybrid construction in the Czech Republic. The company has joined the platform for sustainable construction and is preparing a pilot project in the Czech Republic under its own direction, which is the construction of residential housing Nová Kunratická in Liberec.
SYNER's founding anniversary does not coincide with its financial year, so the company does not yet have audited results (note: April 2024 to March 2025), but it can already speak of a very strong year. "Last year's season was one of the strongest in history for us in terms of performance. We manage to maintain a high volume of orders, while maintaining the quality and deadlines of individual projects with absolute certainty. We are pleased that our numbers are not just due to market fluctuations, but to real growth in the volume and number of projects we implement," comments the company's CEO Robert Špott on the results. The company's expected sales are expected to reach 6.5 billion crowns. This continues to confirm SYNER's place among the market leaders - not only in terms of turnover, but also in terms of labor productivity, which is close to four times the Czech average and is among the highest in the industry.
Projects that change the landscape and communities
Last year, the company completed a number of significant projects – from the Mercedes-Benz car factory hall and showroom in Zápy, to the Hagibor or Parková Čtvrť residential residences in Prague, to the reconstruction of a historic building on Pařížská Street in Prague. “You can see the hard work of the entire team behind each project. I appreciate the fact that we are able to remain a strong partner in both the private and public spheres,” says Špott. SYNER has almost 40 projects in the pipeline across the country, and in the field of civil engineering, it is building the largest current projects in the Czech Republic, either alone or in a consortium: CS Campus – the new headquarters of Česká spořitelna in Prague, the Pernerka shopping mall in Pardubice, and the Mephared Education and Research Center in Hradec Králové.
In addition to these volume- and technologically demanding projects, SYNER is responsible for the creation of the Center for Cardiovascular and Transplant Surgery in Brno and the Center for Emergency Medicine at the Liberec Regional Hospital. These and other projects have a total value of 30 billion crowns with a continuous implementation period of the next three years.
Innovation, sustainability and cooperation with schools
The company is also gradually streamlining internal processes – from reporting, to more accurate waste management records, the use of recycled materials or involvement in community events. SYNER is also making significant progress in the area of cooperation with schools. “We have long supported technical education and cooperate with a number of secondary and higher education institutions. We are pleased that students have once again ranked us among the Top Employers this year – specifically in 6th place and we would like to move up in the survey next year,” adds Špott.
The Czech Republic has been building for 35 years
SYNER has long established itself as a stable partner for the implementation of complex construction projects – from civil and residential construction, through industrial buildings to transport structures and infrastructure. The company is a testament to stability and resilience: more than three decades have proven that SYNER can adapt its strategy, manage risks and maintain sound foundations. Internal teams benefit from years of know-how, and the company itself from their loyalty, construction wisdom and corporate culture. “Our history is proof that honest work, long-term relationships and responsibility have lasting value in the construction industry,” says CEO Špott, who has been managing SYNER for more than 17 years. “We have had strong years behind us and new challenges ahead of us – be it in the area of sustainable construction, digitalisation or generational change. I believe that thanks to our team, partners and experience, we have a promising future ahead of us. We are creating partnerships that can be built on,” concludes Špott.
